The manse of the Targaryens lies on the outskirts of the city of Pentos. Due to its size it lies outside the city walls. The manse is a sprawling property and is the home of the four dragons held by Aegon Targaryen, his sister-wife Rhaenys and their three sons.
The mansion itself has brick walls 12 feet high with iron spikes atop. There are three gates, the main gatehouse being the chief way in and out of the manse. There is one in the garden that is hidden by ivy. It is chained and guarded by some of Aegon's men. The third gate is a postern by the kennels. The dragons roam relatively freely and hunt to the east of the city towards the grasslands.

After what had been lengthy discussions with his wife and some of his closer advisers, Aegon rides out to where Balerion is waiting and once securely mounted takes to the skies heading due west towards Westeros. He would see for himself what had been the effects of this 'Sundering' As he flew high, he wondered if Dragonstone had survived. The rumors were that it had. However he needed to find out for himself.

As Aegon nears the lands of Westeros once again, the intimidating black mass of Dragonmont and it's castle come into view, still rising defiantly from the vast sea that once led into Blackwater Bay. Although the overall state of the once-seat of the Targaryens is left in question until he inspects it further, it is already evident from a distance that the wrath of the Children was not kind to the home of their rivals. The great tower of Windwyrm is now rubble spread across the island, and the great garden that once grew along the Dragon's Tail is now a shriveled mass of dead leaves and decaying trees.
